Hustlers Vision, Mission and Values

Vision: Where the relationships and memories are invaluable.

Mission: The mission statement of Saskatoon Zone 1 Hustlers Softball is to operate a quality, non-profit softball community, that promotes softball within our Saskatoon zone by developing skills; promoting fun and teamwork; and teaching the Zones values to all players, coaches, families and fans.

Values:

Inclusivity- All are welcome and encouraged to contribute and participate.

Relationships- We want our players, coaches, parents and fans to be able to form lifelong relationships from within the Hustlers Zone. We are a big family and we spend many nights and weekends together. We are building memories…memories that will last a lifetime.

Player Development- We will provide our players training as they continue through the Zone. Our players will receive both season and off season training that includes pitching, catching, hitting, fielding, and agility and more.

Coach Development- We will provide our coaches training as they continue within the Zone. Coaches will be exposed to clinics that will help them with planning practices and drills. They will receive attention that will give them the opportunity to learn, and to grow as a coach.

Competition- Competition, to us, is not a three letter word spelled ...WIN. We are not attracted to the distorted version that advocates win at any cost! We embrace competition in its truest and purest form. We teach players to view it as a reflective mirror that reveals the strengths, weaknesses and true identity of players and teams. We utilize competition as a valuable tool to motivate each player toward a life of personal excellence!

Passion- We will approach our duties as an executive with the same passion that athletes have for achieving their goals and fans have for supporting their teams.

Accountability- We expect and accept responsibility. We take initiative. We trust in our abilities. We exceed expectations.

Leadership- We value the powerful leadership of a coach. Billy Graham stated, "A coach will influence more people in a year than most people do in a lifetime." Coaches serve as a trusted mentor to help navigate people throughout the land mines of sports and life. The impact of coaches and their influence on athletes will far transcend the boundaries of "playing sports."

Teamwork
- We value team sports and the lessons they teach. For many athletes their team is their extended family and it is here that they learn the values of cooperation, care and sacrifice. We believe a strong family is the cornerstone to a strong individual. Understanding teamwork helps players identify their role and improve the quality of their relationships within the family unit.

Engage the Community- Softball has a unique ability to bring us together in such a way that allows us to transcend our differences and find common ground. Similarly, athletes are powerful influencers and role models who have a unique platform capable of unifying diverse groups and inspiring change. ,Saskatoon Zone 1 Hustlers is committed to finding creative ways to use athletes to inspire positive social change. The Zone will provide resources, training, and development to assist and empower athletes to successfully launch community-positive, socially conscious, and social entrepreneurial endeavours
